Tighten-up was founded in 1985 by Hugh Bearryman and David Bond, having left (the original) Everbright Fasteners in Twickenham, to set up their own enterprise.

Initially the company specialised in stainless steel fasteners and items made to customer specification.
We listened to our customers and tailored the business according to their needs. Because our clientele
covers a wide range of industries including Defence / Marine / Petro-chemical / Electronics / Construction
and Food Processing, we have expanded both our range and our premises.

Now, in addition to stainless steel, we stock HT steel, zinc plated, galvanised, Brass and Nylon fasteners.

We are also agents for Beamclamp amongst others.

Commercial aerospace has also become a strength having put into place a reliable network of suppliers.

We have a team made up of many years of experience in the fastener industry coupled with youth to ensure
we keep up with the latest trends and innovations.

Since the year 2000 we have acquired three smaller companies and moved into small hand tools and
associated hardware.
